![]() ![]() There have been a lot of modifications under the hood, which you can read all about in the game's readme. This mod's goal is to redesign the game's systems and mechanics to make them smarter and better integrated. All of the deaths happened because of boss behavior, which I was able to adapt to by reassessing my equipment. And none of the deaths were because of bullshit RNGs. Also, the number of times that I have died in the entire playthrough can be counted on my fingers. I would have probably gotten them to level 30 without powerlevelling had I bothered to use them more. I leveled 5 or 6 characters to level 30 (the new level cap is 50), characters that I seldom used. I also didn't need to power level to enable me to beat a dungeon or a boss literally the only time in the entire game I power leveled was right before the last dungeon of the game, which asks you to use 12 party members across 3 parties. I played all of it, and did every sidequest available. ![]() If I had any feeling at all that this game was unfair and was just fucking with me, I would have dropped it instantly. Trust me, I have low tolerance for bullshit in games, especially from JRPGs. That's not what this mod is (for real, there is a separate hardtype patch for this mod on the official forums, if you want it). This mod isn't a difficulty mod for the sake of difficulty it's not a "hardtype" mod. Ever.įirst, let me tell you what this mod isn't. ![]() After having played it, I personally am never going back to the original vanilla game. I am here to tell you that, if you are a fan of FFVI or JRPGs in general, you absolutely need to play this mod, as it is fantastic. This is the version I have played, on my SNES Mini Classic hooked up to my TV. ![]() Recently, though, version 2.0 was released. It has been in development for many, many years. Some of you might have heard of this mod/hack. ![]()
